Workshops and Seminars
The project sponsored several workshops and seminars at the University of Notre Dame between 2010-2014.
The first workshop was held September 15, 2010 on Pierre Bayle and the problem of evil. Participants included Kristen Irwin (Biola University), Tom Lennon (University of Western Ontario), Jean-Luc Solère (Boston College), Michael Hickson (Templeton Fellow, University of Notre Dame) and Todd Ryan (Templeton Fellow, University of Notre Dame). On March 11-12, 2011, we held our second workshop event, "The Problem of Evil in the Scottish Enlightenment." Participants included Michelle Brock (University of Texas at Austin), Rebecca Copenhaver (Lewis and Clark College), Terence Cuneo (University of Vermont), James Foster (Princeton Theological Seminary), Aaron Garrett (Boston University), Gordon Graham (Princeton Theological Seminary), James Harris (University of St Andrews), Ryan Nichols (California State University, Fullerton), James Otteson (Yeshiva University), Eric Schliesser (Ghent University, Belgium), Timothy Yenter (Yale University), and Rachel Zuckert (Northwestern University).
In June of 2010, the project sponsored a five-day summer seminar for graduate students interested in the project's reseach topic. For more details on that seminar, visit its webpage.
